Distinguishing Features of the Work

Serves as the Chief of Maintenance and Operations of all areas of the Park system.

Incumbent coordinates, supervises and oversees all major work in connection with the maintenance and operation of park facilities, natural and historic sites within the Park system. Insures that the parks are operated safely, efficiently, and under sanitary conditions at all times. The work requires considerable contact with Park personnel, concessionaires, the general public, and all other sections of the Central Office.

Incumbent performs duties and responsibilities under the supervision of the Parks Director and Parks Assistant Director to whom the incumbent reports.

 

Qualification Guide

Extensive experience in the maintenance and operation of recreational or parks areas or a combination of experience and higher education demonstrating the ability to manage facilities and grounds such as those found in State Parks. The ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
