Distinguishing Features
Plans, implements and evaluates educational programs related to Agriculture, Home Economics, 4-H, and Community Resource Development. Is responsible for working with other staff and community leaders in setting priorities; then conducting program independently with little supervision.
As a member of a unit staff, reports to the unit chairman.
Qualification Guide
A Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Agriculture, Home Economics, or related area. Experience in Extension-type work or other experience blat involves public contact closely related to Agriculture, Home Economics, youth work or community development. Demonstrated leadership and communicative skills desirable. A Master’s Degree is preferred. This class spec replaces the specs for the Extension Agent B and Extension Agent C classes.
