CORRECTIONS WARDEN 72182 A

CLASS CONCEPT/FUNCTION

This is the second class in the Corrections Warden Series for positions responsible for the management of major adult correctional institutions. Positions direct all administrative and operational functions providing security, treatment, and associated programs for inmates. Positions may also serve as deputy wardens over a correctional unit within the largest, most complex adult correctional institution. Positions in this class charged with directing institutions are distinguished from the Corrections Warden Senior class by the latter’s direction over larger, diverse institutions that entail a broader scope of security, programs, and support staff.
