Equipment used in the performance of assigned duties include a variety of light and medium duty equipment such as three ton dump trucks, generators, air compressors, cranes, wrenches, back-hoes and front end loaders. A variety of hand held and power carpentry tools and concrete tools such as jackhammers, concrete saws, floats, trowels and sand blasting equipment are used.

As a specialty crew member, work activities affect the agency's overall program responsibilities in bridge construction and maintenance.
Impact of Actions: Efficient work reduces the time a bridge is closed to the public for repairs and maintenance. Lack or inadequacy of repairs may cause hazards to the traveling public and create additional costs for work to be performed.
