Distinguishing Features of the Work

Manages all services related to Center operations and all administrative interaction with the Division of Administration.

Coordinates personnel actions and records, budget formulation, financial records, purchasing and invoicing. Oversees the Center’s food service operation; manages the maintenance and security of living and recreational quarters. Supervises transportation services for Center clients and the maintenance and repair of vehicles. Develops and maintains a program of volunteer services.

This position reports to a Visually Handicapped Program Supervisor.

 

Qualification Guide

Knowledge of the principles and practices of management and supervision; knowledge of facility maintenance procedures. Skill in oral and written communication. Ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff. Ability to supervise a diverse staff.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with applicable course work and experience in business administration which indicate direct application of the preceding knowledge, skill and abilities; or a combination of equivalent or sufficient training and experience.
