PRACTICAL NURSE B 44052 C

Provides nursing services in hospitals, clinics, and other facilities for patients requiring more specialized care.

The duties are performed with less supervision, and in addition to administering medications and providing various treatments, incumbents are responsible for observing patients; conditions and progress, helping with the development of nursing care plans, equipment preparation and maintenance, and providing instruction to less experienced personnel.

Reports to a Registered Nurse.

QUALIFICATION GUIDE*

Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and eligibility for, or registration in, the State of Virginia. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the field of practical nursing.
