Distinguishing Features of the Work

Supervises and participates in the development and/or presentation of exhibits and programs at a State historic site or museum.

Oversees the collection and/or arrangement of relics, art objects, exhibits, etc. Provides direction to subordinates and information or tours to visitors. Other duties may involve gift shop operations, overseeing maintenance and repairs, audio visual operations, collection of misslon fees and report preparation.

Supervision is received from a higher level technician or administrator.

 

Qualification Guide:

Graduation from high school, and relevant training or experience in work involving display or promotional techniques, and public relations or public contact. College education may substitute for experience. Ability to develop and memorize historical or other data. Good verbal skills.
