Distinguishing Features of the Work

Performs audits of controlled substances in pharmacies and health care facilities.

The audit process includes tabulating invoices, official narcotics order forms, prescription orders, manufacturing and other records related to on-hand drug inventories. Makes reports to higher authority on shortages or overages. Also works with Pharmacy Inspectors and Regulatory Investigators B investigating a variety of complaints in the health regulatory area.

Reports to the Health Regulatory Boards Compliance Manager.

 

Qualification Guide

Ability to interpret rules and regulations. Ability to conduct routine investigations and assist in more complex ones. Ability to organize data and to prepare concise, clear reports. Good numerical skills.

Graduation from nigh school and some related work experience is preferred.
