Distinguishing Features of the Work

 

Performs functions necessary for the operation of the Supply Stock Room in filling orders for supplies and equipment for the Department.

 

Examples of duties characteristic of positions in this class:

 

  1. Fills orders for supplies and equipment to all stores and offices of the Department.

    2.  

  2. Prepares receiving reports and checks supply invoices for accuracy.

    3.  

  3. Loads and unloads outgoing and incoming supplies and equipment. Maintains ample inventory on all items in "order assembly area."

    4.  

  4. Operates all battery-powered equipment used in operation of Supply Stock boom.

    5.  

  5. Makes delivery of supplies and equipment. Picks up and delivers old records to storage. Accompanies all shipments to and from the Penitentiary Industrial Department.

  6. Performs janitorial duties needed in office and stockroom.

 

 

Qualification Standards

 

Graduation from high school or equivalent and one year's experience in supply, equipment or parts control function. Additional education may be substituted for experience on an equivalent time basis.
