CLASS CONCEPT/FUNCTION

This is the first supervisory class in the Store Operations series. Positions either have charge responsibilities for a small store; or function as ASSISTANT managers and have responsibilities for a narrower scope of operations in a larger store. This class is distinguished from the Store Clerk Senior class by its responsibility for supervising staff and for overseeing store operations. It is distinguished from the Store Operations Manager class by its focus on daily operational activities rather than longer range planning and policy functions.
