Compensation Reform Train the Trainer’s (T-T-T) Sessions

Many Commonwealth of Virginia human resource professionals will be attending three-day
T-T-T sessions in August, to prepare to facilitate ongoing Comp Reform training in their respective organizations. There are 25 T-T-T sessions scheduled at various state facilities for the human resource professionals to attend (see list below).

The Comp Reform Trainers (CRT’s) will then facilitate continued learning about the reformed compensation system with agency senior leaders, managers, and other employees starting in August and continuing into 2001, as the Commonwealth implements Comp Reform beginning September 25, 2000.

Learning Objectives for Comp Reform T-T-T Sessions

At the conclusion of the three-day training sessions human resource professionals will be able
to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Compensation Reform System
  • Present and facilitate Compensation Reform training to employees, managers, and executives
  • Use course materials and exercises developed for the Compensation Reform training
  • Explain Compensation Reform to others
  • Apply adult learning principles during CRT train-the-trainer practice sessions and during Compensation Reform training sessions
  • Communicate and model a change management process for Compensation Reform
  • Describe the philosophical shift from the old pay and performance management processes
  • Describe the CRT’s role in the continued development of the new system and as an advocate and coach for other employees
